In one of these gondolas Orson Welles/Harry Lime tried to convince Joseph Cotten/Holly Martins of the futility of life, specially if it wasn't his. Built in 1897, the wheel still is impressive, and you can have diner and champaigne in the gondolas. Ah! Those times.
